I am an intuitive and compassionate life coach who supports smart, hard-working, high-achieving working moms who are harder on themselves than anyone else, stop over-doing and uncover the inner resources to feel calm, grounded and on track in their lives.

As a recovering perfectionist and a self-aware, caring, over-achiever I GET IT!

I spent years feeling like I wasn’t ever “enough” which led me down the path of seeking outside reassurance and chasing the next shiny star of approval. I was always looking for the next transformation to become a better person and felt like I was on an endless hamster wheel of trying to “become better” and feeling like I was always falling short.

After getting my degree in psychology, I went for my masters in education because I knew others thought I was good at it (hello approval seeking), it was a respected career (more approval) and it was what made the most sense in terms of my prior experience and being a good person (following all the “shoulds”).

While I became a stellar teacher (winning the approval of my principals, parents, and students), 5 years into teaching I left the profession feeling burned out, anxiety ridden, and lost about what to do next.

For much of my life, I was driven to become the best version of myself. I had spent hours meditating, journal writing, taking professional development courses, and diving deep into positive psychology. While these practices are amazing (and I highly recommend them), they weren’t the key to unlocking my unhappy, exhausted search for “enoughness”. In fact, having done so much work on myself and still ending up feeling exhausted, lost, and uncertain on where to find my purpose and passion was further fuel for the self-criticism that I already welded with a vengeance.

Thankfully, my endless searching led me to the practices of self-compassion, and the managing of my mind. The difference that truly made the difference was my mindset about myself. The practices of self-compassion and diving in deep to learn how to become my own best friend was what finally shifted things for good.

It also opened up the pathway to coaching and learning how to support others on this same journey from overachieving, perfectionist, approval junkie to confident, secure, satisfied human!

My warm, intuitive, and goal-oriented approach supports other women climb off the wheel of “never enough” and discover a happier, more grounded, and satisfying life.

I bring my training in psychology and education, 10+ years of experience with Non-Violent Communication (aka Compassionate Communication), and advanced training in both mindfulness and self-compassion to support busy, high achieving working moms leave overwhelm, anxiety, and feeling like they aren’t “enough” behind and discover the clarity to take action on things that bring genuine satisfaction and joy.

I initially reached out to Jennifer to lead a session on building confidence for future female physicians and it was a wonderful event. She was so helpful that I asked her for a one-on-one session to help me work through some of my personal struggles with my body image. I am grateful she took the time to meet with me since I left the conversation feeling more hopeful than any prior professional I had sought help from. She shared tools with me to take beyond our session that I can practice with daily. Her questions were insightful and helped me identify root causes to roadblocks in my thinking. The best part of talking with Jennifer was how much lighter I felt emotionally being able to discuss sensitive topics openly and with plans on how to move forward. I would highly recommend any of my friends or patients to reach out to Jennifer, since she is compassionate, gracious, an excellent listener, and insightful! She helped me more in 1 hour then any of my prior counseling sessions combined. If you are on the fence about booking, I wouldn’t hesitate any further to give her a chance at helping you.
